1963-Cleaned. Dad to El Do a.m. set out verbena plants from Alta
May 5,1959-cleaned dinning room painted wood work
1960-Mowed lawn p.m.
1961-rained. Anna came on bus evening, it cleared off p.m.
1962-Cleaned up house made rolls a.m. mowed east yd. mower quit, hot day water. Gfellers stopped eve.
1963-To Junction City to Gfeller reunion with Katie and girls
May 6-1959-Board meeting at church eve
1960-Dad to Wich for check up. Pecks came for supper brought shrimp.
61-Dad pumped water from cellar, went to sale at Mary's p.m. I did some baking
I remember one visit to Kansas to visit Grandma & Grandpa Z's when the basement was full of water, there were crocks with, I guess kraut in them, (maybe I just imagine that.) I was walking up the stairs from the cellar and I stepped on a frog and smushed it, 00000000000000000, I still can feel that sensation. Everyone teased me that I was going to get a wart, well, talk about the power of suggestion, it popped up on my elbow.

63-Planted Lima & Kidney beans a.m. 2 rows sweet corn p.m.
May 7,1959-Locke's stopped. Went to w.s.c.s at Decker's to "Wings over Jordan" eve. mowed some towards eve.
1960-did up Sat work to ElDo p.m. for check up, OK, Dad fished eve.
1961-We went to G. reunion. Knox's took us rain morning but cleared a.m. nice day
1962-Dad to Dooley's to fix fence. I watered strawberries and peas a.m. mowed little with hand mower.
1963-Dad worked Red Cross drive a.m. and eve. I cultivated garden a.m. patched p.m.

April 29-May 3

April 29, 1959-Warm 80 degrees, mowed yd a.m. baked rolls and pie made salad for church supper eve at Burns.
April 29,1960-
" "61-Went to El Do found Peck sick. bought everyday shoes. Set out 14 tomato plants eve.
1962-To church and s.s. Mae came for dinner
1963-Washed, Showery weather - did some ironing
April 30,1959-Hot 86. Watered strawberries a.m. Ruth came p.m. did some mending, Dad on road got birthday gift from Pearl.
1960-
1961-To church and s.s. Rowe's came for dinner. Dad to El Do with church board p.m.
1962-Washed and ironed Dad mowed lawn
1963-Finished ironing, did mending a.m. to w.s.c.s. at church p.m.
May 1,1959-
1960-To Junction City with G girls to G reunion, nice day.
1961-Cold wind-The Rev. Hines called here for dinner (Peck not better) I cleaned woodwork, windows & curtains in living room p.m.
1962-Worked outside cleaned a garden helped Dad put cultivator on tractor, he cultivated potatoes 1st time.
1963-Worked outside Dad cultivated garden, we planted pop corn. (you plant pop corn???) Katie & girls came eve for my birthday.
May 2, 1959-Mowed east yd a.m. shower at 9:30 Dad & Shorty went fishing came back, Dad to town some fished p.m.
1960-Washed a.m. set out tomato's and pepper plants.
1961-Did some outside work.
1962-Charley's new boy arrived. Went to w.s.c.s. and quilting at Marjorie Gfellers Katie and Girls came eve.
1963-Mariana came for dinner for my birthday.
May 3,1959-hot and windy. Went to Gfeller reunion with Gfellers.
1960-Ironed a.m. Ruth came dinner a.m. Mariana Steve came p.m. Rowe's & Mae came eve.
1961Went to w.s.c.s. at Anna Kaus had lesson. Rainy day, Mae Alta & boys came evening brought supper.
1962-Ruth & Mariana came p.m. Alta & Mae came eve brought supper, dress picnic basket & money.
1963Set out tomato plants mowed yids. Alta Mae boys came eve. Ruth came eve. brought supper & desert. Ruth came p.m. brought cake raisin bread meat sherbet, Dad grilled p.m.
