Dupuytren disease

May 20, 2010 - Sorry I haven't posted lately, hard to type. I went to the hand doctor yesterday about my little finger, (I had a fall last month and my little finger made a right turn, ) I have to keep my two fingers bandaged for a month, go back in a month. While I was at the doctors I showed him the palms of my hand, he said that I had Dupuytren's Disease. Check out - http://DealingWithDD.com There are injection that can help. It tends to run in families. It is more common in individuals whose ancestors are from northern Europe. Now I know what is wrong with my brothers hands.

Grandma Z's Father

My sister and I were going through Mom and Dads things today, emptying out an old cedar chest, we found this picture of our Great Grandfather. Written at the bottom it says "Grandpa" and "Last Picture". I see where our grandmother got her kind eyes, Wish we could have met him.

Wall Paper Year!

May 4,2010-While typing this section of Grandma Z's diary, I started to think of my sister, then she called- I was telling her that I was typing the diary about the new wall paper that Grandma Z put up and how I remembered our visit to Kansas after the new wallpaper. Here is the rest of the story. The new wall paper year, while visiting, my sister was around 6 years old, with no self control!!!! She slept in the room with the pretty wallpaper, first mistake. Welllllll, there was a little piece of the paper that was coming up, wellllllllllll, after awhile alone------my sister managed to fix it by picking off most of the paper in the area. Now my Dad really never got to mad at us, all he had to do was give us the look and that did it., but this day he skipped the look and gave her a lecture and yelled a little, never will forget that. She still doesn't have to much self control so the lecture was in vain.
